TWO HURT ON EVE OF ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL IN MIAMI

Two workers were hurt ahead of this weekend’s Ultra Music Festival when a section of an LED screen apparently fell at the Miami site. The condition of the two injured staff isn't clear, though an Ultra Music Festival spokesperson says they're being observed by medics. The festival is schedule to start today with some 165,000 people expected over this weekend.

AEG NOT BEING SOLD, CEO TIM LEIWEKE OUT

Anschutz Entertainment Group owner Phillip Anschutz has taken the company off of the market and president/CEO Tim Leiweke will leave the company, according to a statement released yesterday. Leiweke will be replaced in his roles by CFO Dan Beckerman. Anschutz will take on a more active role in the company.

Samsung Electronics is ratcheting up its rivalry with Apple with its new Galaxy S 4 smartphone, which has a larger, sharper screen than its predecessor, the best-selling S III. Samsung trumpeted the much-anticipated phone's arrival Thursday at an event accompanied by a live orchestra while an audience of thousands watched the theatrics unfold on a four-level stage at Radio City Music Hall. Summoning up a touch of Broadway, Samsung employed 17 actors to demonstrate the new phone's features in a series of scripted vignettes.

LIL WAYNE SUFFERS MORE SEIZURES, HOSPITALIZED IN L.A.

Lil Wayne was hospitalized earlier this week after suffering more seizures. The rapper had multiple seizures on Tuesday night while filming a music video in Los Angeles and was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital. According to TMZ, he was released the next morning, and is currently recovering.
Wayne's latest seizures follow an unfortunate pattern – he dealt with seizure-like symptoms while traveling on a private jet last October.

FACEBOOK WORKING ON INCORPORATING THE HASHTAG

Facebook Inc. FB -0.15% is taking its business rivalry with Twitter Inc. into the realm of symbols: #Feud. Facebook is working on incorporating the hashtag, one of Twitter's most iconic markers, into its service by using the symbol as a way to group conversations, said people familiar with the matter. It is unclear how far along Facebook's work on the hashtag is and the feature isn't likely to be introduced imminently, these people said.

AFROJACK, SIGNS EXCLUSIVE WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP

DJ/producer Afrojack has been signed to an exclusive worldwide deal with Universal Music Group (UMG), through Afrojack's label Wall Recordings, Max Hole, Chairman and CEO of UMGI announced yesterday. Island Records and UMGI will be responsible for the further roll out of Afrojack's releases including his debut album, scheduled for fall of 2013.

THE GRAMMY AWARDS CRUISE

Fans of the Grammy Awards, there's now a cruise for you, too. Norwegian Cruise Line says it is partnering with The Recording Academy to offer a Grammy-themed voyage, to take place in the fall of 2014. Unveiled this week during the annual Cruise Shipping Miami conference, the Grammy cruise will take place on the still-under-construction Norwegian Getaway and is part of a larger partnership between Norwegian Cruise Line and The Recording Academy.
