Latest release: "Some People Change" (Columbia)
1. Mary J. Blige, "The Breakthrough" (Geffen). Sings with soul and she has lived what she sings. She is the best female artist out there.

3. Keith Urban, "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing" (Capitol Nashville).
True musician. Writes a lot of his own stuff and is a real true person.
4. Trace Adkins, "Dangerous Man" (XX). There is not another voice like him in country music. He sings honky-tonk junk box songs like I grew up listening to.
5. Tim McGraw, "Greatest Hits, Vol. 2." (Curb). Tim is a hands-on person; he puts a lot of time and thought in to his albums. Tim can go against the grain and believes in his band enough to bring them into the studio with him and they can back it up.
