It's getting hotter for hip-hop star Nelly, whose sophomore album, "Nellyville" (Fo' Reel/Universal), reached triple-platinum status for shipments of three million copies in July certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "Nellyville" is now the second most-shipped album of 2002, behind Eminem's "The Eminem Show," with cumulative shipments of 11 million copies.

Also in July certifications, several of Elvis Presley's RCA albums were upgraded, resulting in his 84th gold, 45th platinum, and 21st multi-platinum awards. Presley's total shipments are now 93 million units.

Dave Matthews Band saw its debut album, "Remember Two Things" (RCA), go platinum for shipments of 1 million copies, meaning that all the band's recordings have now achieved at least platinum status. Modern rock act Korn received its fifth gold and platinum awards for "Untouchables" (Epic), while legendary U.K. rock outfit the Who earned its 17th gold album with the recent double-disc set "The Ultimate Collection" (MCA).

Debut acts John Mayer and Avril Lavigne reached platinum status in July with "Room for Squares" (Aware/Columbia) and "Let Go" (Arista), respectively. Two other newcomers, Capitol's Dirty Vegas and Epic's Tenacious D, went gold with their self-titled debuts.
