Billboard Bits: R.E.M., Chris Rock, Craig Morgan

Comments

R.E.M. has launched a site that offers fans and aspiring videographers the chance to cobble together their own video for "Supernatural Superserious," the first single from the band's forthcoming album, "Accelerate."

At Supernaturalsuperserious.com, 10 different sets of high definition footage from the band's January video shoot with director Vincent Moon on Manhattan's Lower East Side are available for download.

R.E.M. has also set up a YouTube page for fans to post their own versions of the song's video.

Chris Rock will perform a one-hour set on the main stage of the Bonnaroo festivals, in what organizers are calling "one of the largest audiences ever for a comedy show."
As previously reported, Bonnaroo will be held June 12-15 in Manchester, Tenn., with a lineup featuring Pearl Jam, Metallica and Kanye West.

Zach Galifianakis, Janeane Garofalo, Mike Birbiglia Jim Norton, Brian Posehn and David Cross will all perform at the Bonnaroo comedy tent. In addition, Cross will host a late-night talk show comprised of guests and skits.

Country star Craig Morgan has decided to exercise his right of term according to his contract and will be leaving Broken Bow Records.

While Morgan's manager, Faith Quesenberry at Vector Management, wouldn't comment on his next destination, informed sources say he'll land with recently-launched Valory Music. There he would be reunited with VP of promotion and artist development Jon Loba, who joined that label in November after leaving Broken Bow.

Morgan has scored five top 10 singles, including the No. 1 "That's What I Love About Sunday," in his eight year career, which started at the now defunct Atlantic Records Nashville. His latest single, "International Harvester," is currently at No. 10 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs.
