Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson, Lee Ann Womack, Rodney Atkins, Phil Vassar and actor Kevin Costner with his band Modern West are among the headliners at this year's 99.5 WYCD Downtown Hoedown in Detroit.

The 27th annual weekend-long festival, acknowledged as the world's largest free country music concert event, takes place May 15-17 on two stages in the city's Hart Plaza area downtown. The rain-marred 2008 edition of the Hoedown drew 700,000 fans, while previous years have seen three-day crowds of up to 1.4 million.

More than 20 national acts are taking part in the show, including Luke Bryan, Josh Gracin, Darryl Worley, Jack Ingram, Stephen Cochran, the Zac Brown Band, Stephen Cochran, Jessica Harp of the Wreckers, the Eli Young Band, Jessica Andrews, Jason Michael Carroll, Bomshel and Trailer Choir.

Full details about the Hoedown are available at www.wycd.com.
