Top music acts have begun lining up performances in conjunction
with Super Bowl XLIII, to be held Feb. 1 in Tampa, Fla.
Leading the bill are Rihanna, Fall Out Boy and Lifehouse for the
Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash, to be held Jan. 29 at Tampa's Ford
Amphitheatre and broadcast live on VH1. Tickets are on sale through
Ticketmaster.
Enrique Iglesias and Belanova will play a separate Pepsi Smash
event at the same venue the following day. Highlights will be
broadcast Jan. 31 on Telemundo.
Meanwhile, Nelly and the St. Lunatics will headline a Jan. 30 Coors
Light party at Orlando's Hard Rock Cafe. The venue will be replete
with "snow machines, base camp, tents, bivouacs, mountain climbers
and blasts of frosty, flavored oxygen" to simulate a Rocky
Mountains motif.
Of course, the top attraction at the Super Bowl will be Bruce
Springsteen & the E Street Band, who will play the game's
halftime show.
