Sondre Lerche Plots 'Heartbeat Radio' Tour

Sondre Lerche today announced the dates for a North American tour to promote his upcoming fall album, "Heartbeat Radio." The Norwegian singer's road trip will kick off Sept. 5 in Philadelphia, Pa. and end Sept. 30 in Vancouver, and from there Lerche will head across the pond for a European tour in October.

Due Sept. 8 on Rounder Records, "Heartbeat Radio" is Lerche's first album since his work on the 2007 movie soundtrack "Dan in Real Life." The 12-song set is said to be a mix of acoustic, minimalist and more expansive productions that feature orchestral string arrangements by Irish guitarist and songwriter Sean O'Hagan, who fronts the experimental pop group High Llamas and also worked on the arrangements for Stereolab's 2008 album "Chemical Chords." The debut single and title track premiered online last week, and tickets for Lerche's tour are on sale as of today.
