The singer said the album, whose name is floating between "Lesson Learned" and "Still Standing," will be released in the first quarter of 2009. "As soon as you throw up some confetti, your girl will be on shelves," she said.
One track already completed is "Trust," a duet with Keyshia Cole. Monica has also collaborated with producers like Stargate and Bryan Michael-Cox and is looking forward to working with Missy Elliott.
The new album follows 2006's "The Makings of Me," which has sold 314,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
