Monica is hard at work on her as-yet-untitled sixth album for J
Records, which she announced in a recent YouTube clip.
The singer said the album, whose name is floating between "Lesson
Learned" and "Still Standing," will be released in the first
quarter of 2009. "As soon as you throw up some confetti, your girl
will be on shelves," she said.
One track already completed is "Trust," a duet with Keyshia Cole.
Monica has also collaborated with producers like Stargate and Bryan
Michael-Cox and is looking forward to working with Missy
Elliott.
The new album follows 2006's "The Makings of Me," which has sold
314,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen
SoundScan.
