The Hold Steady

The Hold Steady will release its first live album and documentary DVD, "A Positive Rage," on April 7 via Vagrant.

The double-disc set chronicles a Halloween 2007 show at Chicago's Metro and also includes a pair of previously unreleased tracks ("Spectres" and "40 Bucks") and three additional tracks culled from the limited edition version of the band's last release, 2008's "Stay Positive."

Meanwhile, the documentary centers around the international tour in support of 2006's "Boys and Girls in America" and features band interviews and a wealth of behind-the-scenes footage.

The Hold Steady is presently touring in Australia and will play Sydney tomorrow (Feb. 4). On March 31, the band will kick off a two-week headlining North American tour in Albany, N.Y. at Valentine's. It then joins forces with Counting Crows for a run of May U.K. shows.

Here is the track list for "A Positive Rage":

"Stuck Between Stations"
"The Swish"
