It looks like the South African band has since found a kindred spirit, in the form of Bloomington, Ind.-based indie label Secretly Canadian. The label announced it has signed the band and will on March 10 re-release its "MYSTERY" EP, which has been re-mastered and re-sequenced. "MYSTERY" was produced by Brandon Curtis of the Secret Machines.
The EP will also be available for free digital download from eMusic and Other Music Digital today through Jan. 5. In addition, a documentary about the band premieres tonight (Dec. 8) on Digforfire.tv.
BLK JKS came to the U.S. this spring after a meeting with producer Diplo. It landed on the cover of the Fader, and secured a branding deal with Edun, a clothing company created by Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson.
