Billboard Bits: Nine Inch Nails, Van Morrison, Diamond/Death Cab

Nine Inch Nails is planning to release a branded version of the popular iPhone music game "TapTap Revenge." The special edition of the game will feature 16 tracks from the recent albums "The Slip" and "Ghosts I-IV," some of which were edited or remixed specifically for the game.

It will also have what developer Tapulous calls a "special NIN look and feel." The game is expected to be available via the iPhone App Store this month for $5.

Van Morrison will perform his 1968 album "Astral Weeks" in its entirety during back-to-back concerts Nov. 7-8 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The concerts will feature some of the original musicians featured on the classic album.

Tickets for the event go on sale beginning Oct. 5 via Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from $75-$255.50. Andrew Hewitt and Bill Silva Presents are promoting upcoming the concerts at the 17,300-seat venue.

The shows will be recorded for the live album "Astral Weeks Live at the Hollywood Bowl," to be released in January on Morrison's Listen to the Lions Records.

Neil Diamond's latest album, "Home Before Dark," will be released as a double-LP set on 180-gram vinyl Nov. 11 via Columbia. The LP includes two bonus tracks: covers of Nilsson's "Without Her" and Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love," as well as a digital download card.

Another recent album hitting vinyl is Death Cab For Cutie's "Narrow Stairs," which will arrive Nov. 25 via Barsuk bundled with a bonus 7-inch featuring demos of "No Sunlight" and "The Ice Is Getting Thinner." That same day, the label will issue a 10th anniversary CD edition of Death Cab's "Something About Airplanes," augmented with a Feb. 1998 concert at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe.
