Pink Notches First Solo Hot 100 No. 1

Comments

Pink scores her first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with "So What," thanks to digital sales of 253,000 units in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The artist previously topped the chart via a 2001 remake of Labelle's "Lady Marmalade" with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Lil' Kim.

"So What" flip-flops 2-1 with T.I.'s "Whatever You Like," which remains the fastest-growing track at radio. Rihanna's "Disturbia" holds at No. 3, while M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" continues its upward momentum, claming 5-4.

The chart's top debut is Jay-Z's all-star hip-hop track "Swagga Like Us" at No. 5, which sold 139,000 downloads in its first week. Credited to Jay and T.I. featuring Kanye West and Lil Wayne, the song introduces Jay-Z's upcoming "Blueprint 3" album.

Chris Brown's "Forever" slides 4-6, Ne-Yo's "Closer" rises 8-7 and T-Pain's "Can't Believe It" featuring Lil Wayne moves 12-8. Following its return to Apple's iTunes store after its abrupt removal by Atlantic Records, Estelle's "American Boy" explodes 53-9 with 91,000 digital sales. Lil Wayne's "Got Money" featuring T-Pain rounds out the top tier with a 15-10 move.

Other big debuts this week come from Taylor Swift's "Love Story" at No. 16 and Fall Out Boy's "I Don't Care" at No. 21, with respective download tallies of 97,000 and 89,000.

Jazmine Sullivan begins a fourth week at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with "Need U Bad." The top debut there is T.I.'s "Live Your Life" at No. 77.

On Hot Country Songs, Jimmy Wayne's "Do You Believe Me Now" returns to No. 1 for a second non-consecutive week, after dipping to No. 2 last week. Swift's "Love Story" starts at No. 25 on the tally.

Billboard's rock charts are unchanged, with Staind beginning a third week atop Modern Rock with "Believe" and Metallica starting a second with "The Day That Never Comes."
