New Pumpkins Single Heads To 'Guitar Hero'

Comments

The Smashing Pumpkins will release their new single, "G.L.O.W.," via the upcoming "Guitar Hero: World Tour" videogame.

The song will be part of a downloadable song pack, available at some point after the game's release, which will also include the Pumpkins tracks "1979" and "The Everlasting Gaze." The Pumpkins song "Today" is included in the initial soundtrack.

In addition, users will be able to play "Guitar Hero" as the likeness of frontman Billy Corgan.

As previously reported, in November, the Pumpkins will play 20th anniversary shows at big venues in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and additional cities to be announced. Another run of dates focusing on the band's debut album, "Gish," are on tap for early 2009.
