The North American portion of the trek will begin Sept. 16 in Bethlehem, Pa., and run through Nov. 8 in Philadelphia. Additional U.S. dates will be scheduled through early 2009, followed by visits to Australasia and Europe.
Fans can sample "Strange Overtones," a tune from "Everything That Happens," as a free MP3 from everythingthathappens.com. The uptempo, electronics-shaded track finds Byrne waxing poetic about the art of songwriting, with lines like "your song still needs a chorus / I know you'll figure it out / the rising of the verses / a change of key will let you out."
