An as-yet-unnamed new Franz Ferdinand song will be featured in the "Madden 09" video game, which will hit stores in mid-August. It has not yet been determined whether the track will be featured on the band's next album.
As previously reported, the album, which is also untitled as of now, is due in January via Epic. The band has uploaded short snippets of new songs to its Web site, and is presently testing out the material on a short U.K. club tour.

Radiohead has released a live video album exclusively on iTunes to coincide with the band's run of U.K. outdoor concerts. "In Rainbows -- From the Basement," made available yesterday (June 24), features the band performing its current album at the Hospital studio in London's Covent Garden.
Radiohead's longtime producer Nigel Godrich is behind the "From The Basement" music TV show, which screens on digital satellite channel Sky Arts in the U.K. and online at www.fromthebasement.tv. In the U.S., VH1 showed selections from the Radiohead Hospital performance on May 3.
There are live performances of every "In Rainbows" song with the exception of "Faust Arp" and "Jigsaw Falling Into Place". There are also renditions of "Bangers + Mash" and "Go Slowly" from the bonus disc included with the deluxe discbox edition of the album.
Two vintage albums from the Jacksons will be reissued Sept. 2 via Epic/Legacy, each with tracks not previously available on CD.
The sibling group's 1978 album "Destiny," which spawned the hits "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)" and "Blame It on the Boogie," includes disco mixes of both songs by John Luongo.
"Triumph," released two years later, includes a single mix of "This Place Hotel" and both a disco and instrumental mix of "Walk Right Now," also by John Luongo.
