Unsigned instrumentalists will compete against one another for a chance to perform on stage with Foo Fighters at the 50th annual Grammy Awards, as part of the My Grammy Moment contest.
String, woodwind and brass players are invited to submit up to 60 seconds of performance on their particular instrument to the tune of the Foos' hit "The Pretender" before Jan. 20. Forty-five quarter finalists will be determined by Grammy-ordained judges, after which voting will be open to the public to choose three semi-finalists.
Those select three will perform in an orchestra with Foo Fighters and, from there, a winner will be determined to play with the band during the Feb. 10 broadcast.
