Shirley Bassey will be releasing her first album in 10 years when Decca puts "Get the Party Started" on U.S. shelves March 4. The track list consists of two new tunes, plus remixes of songs like "Big Spender," "I Will Survive" and "You Only Live Twice."
The album leads off with a new single, "The Living Tree," plus a cover of Pink's "Get the Party Started." Producers like the Glimmers, Mark de Clive-Lowe and Bugz in the Attic helped put a new spin on the previously released songs.
The effort comes in time for the vocalist's 70th birthday and her first since her 60th, 1998's live "Birthday Concert." As previously reported, it will also be her first album since starting her newly-minted contract with Decca.

New songs from Keb' Mo', Mable John and Gary Clark, Jr., plus a previously unreleased track from blues legend Ruth Brown, grace the soundtrack to the forthcoming film "Honeydripper." The set will be released Feb. 5 via Rhino. The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 28, then in the rest of the country later this winter.
Other artists on the album include Mable John, Memphis Slim and Lil Green, plus a performance of "Goin' Down Slow" by Danny Glover, who stars in the film. The track from Brown was culled from her last recording session before her death in 2006.
"Honeydripper" revolves around the drama of an embattled nightclub in rural Alabama, set in 1950. The cast also includes actor/musician Clark, Charles S. Dutton, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Stacy Keach and Mary Steenburgen.
Nonesuch Records has launched its own download store, designed to sell new releases from its artists directly to fans. The store allows fans to buy CDs online, and have the option of instantly downloading the full album digitally at no extra charge.
Digital downloads will be free of DRM, and buyers can choose either 320 kbps or 128 kbps versions. There will be a $2 delivery fee for purchased CDs, which Nonesuch will waive if customers buy more than one CD.
The first albums to be featured on the service include the soundtracks to the new "Sweeney Todd" movie and Paul Thomas Anderson's "There Will Be Blood," crafted by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood.
