The race for president isn't the only one featuring a member of the Clinton family and Barack Obama. Indeed, the just-announced 2008 Grammy nominations pit Bill Clinton against Obama in the best spoken word album category.
Clinton's "Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World" is up against Obama's "The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream." Former President and previous Grammy winner Jimmy Carter's "Sunday Mornings in Plains: Bringing Peace to a Changing World" is also up for the award.
Presidents and presidential hopefuls are no strangers to Grammy glory. Bill Clinton won best spoken word Grammys in 2004 and 2005, and his wife, 2008 presidental candidate Hilary Clinton, won the category in 1997 for "It Takes a Village."
Obama won this Grammy in 2006 for "Dreams from My Father," while Carter took home the award last year for "Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis."
The remaining two 2008 spoken word nominees are decidedly less political: poet Maya Angelou's "Celebrations" and actor Alan Alda's " Things I Overheard While Talking To Myself."
