Minogue To Tour Europe In 2008

Comments

Kylie Minogue has lined up an extensive 2008 European tour in support of her new album, "X."

The Australian pop star and her creative team will take a new show concept on the road with "KYLIEX2008," which she describes in a statement as "fresh, exhilarating and innovative."

The 24-date tour kicks off May 6 at the Bercy in Paris, and travels throughout the continent before wrapping July 27 at London's O2 Arena.

"I am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself," Minogue says in a statement. The "X" tour will be "a look to the future but will definitely include favorites alongside the new," she adds.

News of Minogue's tour puts to rest news reports earlier this month which claimed the artist, who is recovering from breast cancer, had scrapped her upcoming world tour due to concerns it could damage her health. EMI quickly refuted the story.

Minogue's 10th album, "X," was released on Monday in the United Kingdom. A U.S. release date has yet to be announced, although the set is expected to street there early in the New Year.
