Kenny Chesney has drafted LeAnn Rimes as the support act for his 2008 Poets and Pirates Tour, dates for which have yet to be announced.
Corona Extra will sponsor the outing, which comes in support of the country star's latest album, "Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates." The set has sponsored the smash Hot Country Songs chart hits "Never Wanted Nothin' More" and "Don't Blink."
"I know the way we live out on the road," Chesney says. "We're pirates in our own way: knowing you have to make the moment as intense as it can be, because once the show's done, it's done and we're gone. It's a little rootless, but it's part of where the songs come from, that poetry to how this life is."
As reported earlier today (Nov. 8), Chesney won his third entertainer of the year award last night at the CMA Awards in Nashville.
