Sex Pistols' 'Bollocks' Hits U.S. iTunes

Comments

The Sex Pistols' 1977 album "Never Mind the Bollocks ... Here's the Sex Pistols" was made available digitally in the U.S. for the first time today (Oct. 16) via the iTunes Music Store.

Newly recorded versions of "Anarchy in the U.K." and "Pretty Vacant" are also available for sale. As previously reported, the tracks were put to tape for use in the videogame "Guitar Hero III" after the original master recordings could not be located.

The surviving Pistols (John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock) have also added a number of shows and promotional appearances to their schedule in conjunction with the 30th anniversary reissue of "Bollocks."

The group will perform Oct. 30 on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and the following day on "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson." On Oct. 25, the Pistols will play a private show at Los Angeles' Roxy, sponsored by local radio station Indie 103.1, Guitar Hero and Helio.

A Nov. 8-10, 12, 14 run at London's Brixton Academy is also on tap, followed by shows Nov. 17 in Manchester, England, and Nov. 18 in Glasgow.
