Morrissey Eyeing September '08 For New Album

Comments

Morrissey is planning a September 2008 release for his next studio album, the singer tells the BBC. "The plan is to make a new album after this tour," he said. "It's absolutely written and completely ready."

Morrissey has been playing several new songs on his in-progress fall North American run, including "All You Need Is Me," "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris," "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell" and "That's How People Grow Up."

The former Smiths frontman is unsigned after ending his deal with Sanctuary. His last album was 2006's "Ringleader of the Tormentors."

Morrissey's current tour rolled into Los Angeles yesterday (Oct. 1) to begin a 10-night stand at the soon-to-be-demolished Palladium. The trek will wrap Nov. 2 in Washington, D.C.
