Rage, Bjork, Arcade Fire Sign On For Big Day Out

Rage Against The Machine, Bjork and the Arcade Fire will lead the lineup for the 2008 Big Day Out festival tour of Australia and New Zealand. The five-show run begins Jan. 18 in Auckland.

The bill will be rounded out by LCD Soundsystem, Dizzee Rascal, Billy Bragg, the Clean, Battles, Shihad, Katchafire, the Phoenix Foundation, SJD, Grinspoon, Cut Off Your Hands, Hilltop Hood, Paul Kelly, Young Sid, Antagonist, Motocade and White Birds And Lemons.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 12. Some acts will play their own headlining shows in the territories in conjunction with Big Day Out, including Rage Against The Machine, who will play Jan. 22 in Sydney and Jan. 30 in Melbourne.

Here are the Big Day Out tour dates:

Jan. 18: Auckland (Mt. Smart Stadium)
Jan. 20: Gold Coast, Australia (Parklands)
Jan. 25: Sydney (Olympic Park Showgrounds)
Jan. 28: Melbourne (Flemington Racecourse)
Feb. 1: Adelaide, Australia (RA&HS Showgrounds)
Feb. 3: Perth, Australia (Claremont Showgrounds)
