Adams Sees The 'Light' With New EP

Comments

Fresh on the heels of "Easy Tiger," his highest charting album yet, Ryan Adams will on Oct. 23 release a new EP via Lost Highway. "Follow the Lights" is a collection of seven songs, both old and new.

Three previously unreleased tracks -- "Blue Hotel," "Follow the Lights," and "My Love for You Is Real" -- will be included; the latter may sound familiar to fans who own the bootlegged "Bedhead" series, released on the Internet a number of years ago. The latter two tracks can be heard in forthcoming episodes of the ABC drama "October Road."

The set also has live in-the-studio versions of "Dear John" (originally released on 2005's "Jacksonville City Nights" featuring Norah Jones), "This Is It" (from 2003's "Rock N Roll"), "If I Am a Stranger" (from 2005's double-disc "Cold Roses") and a cover of Alice In Chains' "Down in a Hole."

Adams is in the midst of his fall tour which, as previously reported, takes him through Halloween in the U.S. He performs next tomorrow night (Sept. 19) in Montreal.

An Adams boxed set is also in the works, and the artist can be heard on Melissa Auf Der Maur's upcoming album.

Here is the track list for "Follow the Lights":

"Follow the Lights"
"My Love for You Is Real"
"Blue Hotel"
"Dear John"
"This Is It"
"Down in a Hole"
"If I Am a Stranger"
