For the first time in five years, Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba will embark on a solo tour. The 32-date jaunt, which begins Sept. 14 in Rochester, Mich., will take the Vagrant artist across the U.S. and into Canada before wrapping up in mid-November in New York. Epic rock quintet Augustana and labelmate John Ralston have been tapped as openers.
A limited fan presale, handled by Ducat King Ticketing, began last Friday. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday (Aug. 2).
While on the road, Carrabba plans to preview new material he's been recording for an upcoming album. The tour comes on the heels of Dashboard's June 2006 album, "Dusk and Summer," which bowed at No. 2 on The Billboard 200.
Right before heading out on his solo tour, Carrabba and Dashboard will headline the Jamboree Music Festival on Sept. 8 in Lehi, Utah.
