Maroon 5, The Hives Make Unlikely Touring Team

Comments

As expected, Maroon 5 will tour North American arenas this fall, with the unlikely support from Swedish rock outfit the Hives. The tour begins Sept. 29 in Auburn Hills, Mich., and will rap Nov. 10 in Las Vegas. Tickets begin going on sale July 14; the band is working with Global Cool to ensure the tour is carbon neutral.

Maroon 5 will be out in support of its sophomore A&M/Octone album, "It won't Be Soon Before Long," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and spawned the No. 1 Hot 100 single "Makes Me Wonder."

As for the Hives, the group is hard at work on its next Interscope album, which will be the follow-up to 2004's "Tyrannosaurus Hives."
