Toby Keith Pencils New Album, Tour In For June

Comments

Country superstar Toby Keith will release his second album for his own Show Dog Nashville label, "Big Dog Daddy," on June 12. First single "High Maintenance Woman" is already No. 8 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

In a first, Keith produced "Big Dog Daddy" himself. The full track list has yet to be announced, but it will include such songs as "Love Me if You Can," "Get My Drink On" and the title cut, plus the Fred Eaglesmith-penned "White Rose."

Keith wrote all but two cuts, with assistance from longtime collaborator Scotty Emerick and Craig Wiseman on others. The set is the follow-up to last year's "White Trash With Money," which has sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Keith will hit the road on the Big Dog Daddy tour with Miranda Lambert and the Show Dog-signed Flynnville Train beginning June 21 in Birmingham, Ala. Dates are on the books through Sept. 23 in Hartford, Conn.
