Hacker Takes 'Nashville Star' Crown

Comments

Angela Hacker took the crown in the fifth season of "Nashville Star" last night (March 1) in Nashville. The Muscle Shoals, Ala., native won out over her brother Zac and David St. Romain of Baton Rouge, La.

With her victory, Hacker wins a deal with Warner Bros. Nashville and a new Chevy Silverado. Warner plans to release Hacker's debut album to stores April 3.

The show's most famous alumni are Buddy Jewell, who won in season one, and Miranda Lambert, who finished third that year but has gone on to sell over 850,000 copies of her debut Columbia Records Nashville album "Kerosene," according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Hosted by Jewel and Cowboy Troy, "Nashville Star" airs on the USA Network.
