Smashing Pumpkins Book First Shows Of 2007

Comments

Smashing Pumpkins have confirmed their first tour dates of 2007 with headlining performances at Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals in early June. According to the band's website, the Pumpkins will perform at Rock Am Ring on June 2 and play Rock Im Park the following evening.

Tickets will be available for both concerts beginning tomorrow (Jan. 27). Other performers confirmed for Rock Am Ring include Linkin Park, Korn, Slayer, Dave Matthews Band, Arctic Monkeys and My Chemical Romance.

The Pumpkins, comprised now of original vocalist/guitarist Billy Corgan and drummer Chamberlin, are expected to be active on the road throughout the summer in support of their comeback album, due in late spring or early summer.

"For many years there were private laments about opportunities missed and hearts so broken, but no more ... we have turned the page and moved on, from places and faces, names and games," Corgan wrote earlier this month on the band's MySpace.com site.
