Digweed, MSTRKRFT Make Touring Tag Team

Comments

DJ John Digweed and dance rock outfit MSTRKRFT will team up for the first Diamonds 07 tour this spring, Billboard.com can reveal. The trek begins March in Portland, Ore., and will run through March 31 in New York. It will also visit the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas (March 16) and Miami's Winter Music Conference (March 20).

"We are always in search of the best party possible and this is probably about as close as you can get," says MSTRKRFT's Jesse Keeler of the tour.

Fresh of a reunion with partner Sasha at the GIANT Maximus event on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles, Digweed is eyeing a Feb. 6 release for a new compilation, "Transitions Vol. 2." The Thrive/Renaissance album is an offshoot of his "Transitions" radio show that airs on Kiss100 in England an XM Satellite Radio worldwide.

MSTRKRFT is working on the follow-up to its 2006 album "The Looks" (Last Gang Records) and recently shot a video for its latest single, "Street Justice."
