Gwen Stefani Unveils Solo Tour Dates

Comments

As expected, Gwen Stefani will embark on a two-month North American tour next spring, beginning April 21 in Phoenix. The vocalist will play arenas and outdoor amphitheatres through a June 22 finale in Irvine, Calif. Dates in Australia, Asia, Europe and Central and South America are in the works but have yet to be announced.

Stefani will be touring in support of her second solo album, "The Sweet Escape," due Tuesday (Dec. 5) via Interscope. First single "Wind It Up" rocketed 25-7 this week on the Billboard Hot 100, fueled by digital sales.

Also due Tuesday is the DVD "Harajuku Lovers Live," taped at Arrowhead Pond in Stefani's hometown of Anaheim, Calif. On her Web site, Stefani says the Harajuku Girls will also join her on the road in 2007.

Stefani's 2005 outing was a box-office bonanza, grossing nearly $22 million from 37 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore, 20 of them sell-outs.
