Tickets will go on sale Saturday (Dec. 2) for a run of Billy Joel dates in the Southern U.S. in February and March. Joel will sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in Miami on Feb. 4, and the tour starts Feb. 7 at the Jacksonville (Fla.) Arena.
Also on the route are the TD Waterhouse Arena in Orlando, Fla. (Feb. 10), American Airlines Arena in Miami (12), Colonial Center in Columbia, S.C. (14), the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, S.C. (17), the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville (21), JPJ Arena in Charlottesville, Va. (23), and the Birmingham (Ala.) Jefferson Civic Center (26).
In March, Joel will play Philips Arena in Atlanta (1), RBC Center in Raleigh (3), and the New Orleans Arena (6).
Joel has just concluded a sold-out tour of Australia and begins a six-city dome tour in Japan this week. The Piano Man returned to the road as a solo headliner in 2006 for the first time since 1998, grossing $50 million from 37 shows, including a record-setting run of 12 sellouts at New York's Madison Square Garden.
