Comments

New York-based rock act the Rapture drafted a production trio of Paul Epworth, Ewan Pearson and Danger Mouse for its new album, "Pieces of the People We Love." The set is due Sept. 4 in the United Kingdom via Vertigo and Sept. 12 in North America via Universal Motown.

The horn-punctuated single "Get Myself Into It" can be streamed from the group's Myspace.com site, where it is jokingly described by group member Mattie Safer as "the most important song ever made." Other tracks include "Live in Sunshine," "First Gear," "Calling Me" and "The Devil."

"Pieces of the People We Love" is the follow-up to 2003's "Echoes," which reached No. 2 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. The group will support the album with an extensive fall tour of Europe, beginning Sept. 3 at the Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally, Ireland.

Here is the track list for "Pieces of the People We Love":

"Pieces of the People We Love"

"Get Myself Into It"
"Whoo! Alright-YeahUh Huh"
"The Sound"
