Phish's Brooklyn Bash Heading To CD/DVD

Comments

As tipped here last year, Phish's June 17, 2004, show at Brooklyn's Keyspan Park is headed to CD and DVD this summer. "Live in Brooklyn" will arrive July 11 via the now-defunct band's JEMP Records label in association with Rhino both as a three-CD set and a two-DVD package.

The audio version includes the entire performance, ranging from fan favorites like "The Divided Sky," "Axilla" and "Suzy Greenberg" to covers of Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" and "Also Sprach Zarathustra," the theme from "2001: A Space Odyssey."

The DVD, which was shot by eight cameras in high definition and simulcast in U.S. movie theaters, appends the concert with soundcheck excerpts, backstage footage and three songs from the next night's show at the same venue: "Taste," "Bug" and "Tweezer Reprise."

As previously reported, Phish mates Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon are touring together this summer in a band with the Benevento/Russo Duo. Gordon also just began a short tour with his country-leaning outfit Ramble Dove.

Here is the track list for "Live in Brooklyn":

Set 1:
"A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing"
"Dinner and a Movie"
"The Curtain With"
"Sample in a Jar"
"The Moma Dance" -> "Free"
"Nothing"
"Maze"
"Frankenstein"

Set 2:
"46 Days" -> "Possum"
"The Oh Kee Pa Ceremony" -> "Suzy Greenberg"
"Axilla"
"Also Sprach Zarathustra"
"Birds of a Feather"
