Pet Shop Boys Practice 'Fundamentalism'

Comments

Synth-pop veterans the Pet Shop Boys have set a June 27 North American release for their first album in four years. "Fundamental" was produced by Trevor Horn and is the follow-up to 2002's "Release," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart.

In North America, the Rhino album will be available as a standard package as well as a limited-edition, dubbed "Fundamentalism," featuring a second disc of eight remixes. That version also features three tracks not available on the regular album: "Flamboyant," "Fugitive" and "In Private."

"Fundamental" is due May 22 internationally; the single "I'm With Stupid" hit stores earlier this week, while "Minimal" is being eyed for release in July. That track has already been remixed by Tiga.

The group kicks off a European summer tour June 15 at Norway's Sommerfestival and is expected to hit North America in August or September.
