Nelly Nabs Fourth Hot 100 No. 1

Comments

Nelly's "Grillz" featuring Paul Wall and Ali & Gipp climbs from No. 5 to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The cut is Nelly's fourth Hot 100 No. 1, following "Hot in Herre" and "Dilemma" in 2002 (which topped the chart for a combined 17 weeks) and "Shake Ya Tailfeather" in 2003. "Grillz" also remains No. 3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and bumps last week's Hot 100 No. 1, D4L's "Laffy Taffy," to No. 6.

Chris Brown's "Run It!" holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100 but reclaims the top slot on the Pop 100, where Nickelback's "Photograph" falls 1-4. Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Beyonce=é's "Check on It" featuring Slim Thug rockets 10-3, and Mariah Carey's "Don't Forget About Us" ascends 7-4. Nickelback's "Photograph" falls 3-5, while Kanye West's "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx slides 4-7.

The Pussycat Dolls' "Stickwitu" sticks to No. 8 on the Hot 100 and rises 5-2 on the Pop 100. The All American Rejects' "Dirty Little Secret" moves up two rungs to the No. 9 spot on the Hot 100 and also captures the No. 1 spot on the Hot Digital Songs chart as "Laffy Taffy" dips to No. 2. Juelz Santana's "There It Go (The Whistle Song)" moves up 12-10 to round out the Hot 100's top tier.

Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You" surges 27-15 and is the Hot 100's greatest airplay gainer. The track also remains atop Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally. And while the Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps" has fallen out of the Hot 100 top 10, the track remains No. 1 on the Hot Ringtones chart.

The Hot 100's top debut belongs to Sean Paul's "Temperature" at No. 74. Also new are Dem Franchize Boyz' "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" featuring Lil Peanut and Charlay (No. 91), Rob Thomas' "Ever the Same" (No. 92), Toby Keith's "Get Drunk and Be Somebody" (No. 93) and Kelly Clarkson's "Walk Away" (No. 97).

Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take the Wheel" takes over the No. 1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart, as George Strait's "She Let Herself Go" falls to No. 2. Daddy Yankee's "Rompe" tops the Hot Latin Songs chart for a seventh straight week.

Lifehouse's "You and Me" rises 3-1 on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart, swapping positions with Rob Thomas' "Lonely No More." On the Modern Rock chart, System Of A Down's "Hypnotize" ascends 3-1 and Foo Fighters' "DOA" drops down to No. 2. Shinedown's "Save Me" leads the Mainstream Rock tally for a ninth straight week.
