Lacuna Coil Taps Into 'Karma'

Comments

In what is expected to be the biggest album in the history of Century Media Records, Italian rock act Lacona Coil will on April 4 unveil its latest release, "Karmacode." First single "Our Truth" appears on the "Underworld: Evolution" soundtrack, due Jan. 10 via Lakeshore Records.

"Karmacode" also sports an album-closing cover of the Depeche Mode classic "Enjoy the Silence." It's the follow-up to 2002's "Comalies," which reached No. 9 on both Billboard's Heatseekers and Top Independent Albums charts and has sold 227,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"It's taken a long time to put together these songs and I can say they're the best ones we've ever written," guitarist Cristiano Migliore says of "Karmacode," which was co-produced by the band with Waldemar Sorychta.

A video for "Our Truth" was shot recently in Los Angeles by the directorial team Fort Awesome. Lacuna Coil will tour extensively this year with a veteran hard rock act, but at deadline no dates have yet been announced.

Here is the track list for "Karmacode":

"Fragile"
"To the Edge"
"Our Truth"
"Within Me"
"Devoted"
"You Create"
"What I See"
"Fragments of Faith"
"Closer"
"In Visible Light"
"The Game"
"Without Fear"
"Enjoy the Silence"
