Sonos ZonePlayerThe Cadalliac of wireless home entertainment systems, the Sonos ZonePlayer streams both Internet radio stations and music or personal playlists from the Rhapsody music subscription service via a home WiFi network. Here's the kicker. It doesn't even require a PC because it links directly to an Internet connection. However it can work with PC-based music libraries as well. It's also a modular system, meaning additional units can be placed in multiple rooms with each streaming a different song, all controlled by a central remote control. But it comes at a hefty price--$1,000 for the base model and more for additional units-plus the $10-a-month Rhapsody subscription fee.-- Antony Bruno |
