Even as a child, Justin Timberlake has always found success in the entertainment sphere. He first got a taste of the show business as a Mousekateer on "The Mickey Mouse Club," but his music career more notoriously began with his stint in teen-pop group 'N Sync. Now, Timberlake has paved his own road as a solo artist, bridging hip-hop with pop and dance music.
His first solo set, 2002's "Justified" earned the singer Grammys for best pop vocal album and male pop vocal performance for its single, "Cry Me a River." With his 2006 release "FutureSex/LoveSounds," he's getting a boost from collaborators like Timbaland, T.I. and Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am. The album entered at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and a pair of singles, "My Love" and "SexyBack," have both spent time at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"I can't explain it, that's how dope it is," will.i.am says with a laugh when asked to describe the sound of Timberlake's album. "He just surprised me again. I was surprised that I was even going to like Justin Timberlake.
Then he turned me into a fan, and I've become a fan. That means you are so talented that you are changing people's vocabulary."
