Clean Bandit Cleans Up On U.K. Singles Chart, Ed Sheeran Still Rules Album Sales


British pop-dance hitmakers Clean Bandit have scored their third U.K. No. 1 with “Symphony” (Atlantic/Warner Music), their collaboration with Zara Larsson. Ed Sheeran was thus denied a 15th aggregate week atop the singles chart with “Shape Of You,” but starts an eighth week at the album summit with '÷' (Asylum/Warner).

Ed Sheeran Holds Kendrick Lamar Off U.K. Album Summit and Returns to Singles No. 1

Kendrick Lamar's 'DAMN.' (Interscope/Universal) is held off the U.K. album chart summit by Ed Sheeran's '÷' (Asylum/Warner Music), but the American rap great not only gets a No. 2 start there, he places five tracks from the album in the singles top 40. Sheeran's “Shape Of You” returns to the top of that list for a 14th aggregate week.
