Ted Joseph has been appointed label manager for Kalimba Music, relaunched last year by Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White. Joseph will also be working with Kalimba CEO and White manager Art Macnow.
Polo Grounds Music, home to A$AP Rocky and Pitbull, has signed a long-term extension of its joint venture with RCA Records. Currently in its ninth year, the partnership is the longest hip-hop/urban music joint venture in RCA’s history.

Headlining BET Experience at L.A. Live’s second night of Staples Center concerts, Andre 3000 and Big Boi were treated to a roaring welcome as they blasted into opening number “B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad).”
Maxwell and Jill Scott kicked off the second annual BET Experience at L.A. Live’s three-night concert series. Other performers during the weekend include Outkast, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross and Mary J. Blige.
Last evening was a big night for Mike Will Made It and Warner/Chappell Music. The songwriter/producer was named songwriter of the year and his publishing firm was crowned publisher of the year at the 27th annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards.
