Six years ago in Johannesburg on the occasion of Nelson Mandela's 89th birthday a number of dignitaries gathered to celebrate the late-leader, including Kofi Annan, Desmond Tutu, Jimmy Carter and others. But what stilled and moved the room was when an African choir of fifty held a note while Peter Gabriel began to sing, acappella, a humble song-turned-anthem called "Biko."
