Joe Walsh, singer-songwriter-guitarist and Eagles member, announced the June 5 release of "Analog Man", his first solo record in 20 years. The 10-track Fantasy/Concord album was produced by Walsh and Jeff Lynne. Nashville-based Tommy Lee James, who penned hits for taylor Swift and Reba McEntire, co-wrote some of the songs and Waslh's brother-in-law Ringo Starr plays on the record.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play a concert at the Apollo Theater in Harlem exclusively for subscribers that will air on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio channel. The March 9 show will be three days after the release of Wrecking Ball, Springsteen’s 17th studio album.
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers played a benefit for KCSN, Cal State Northridge’s public radio outlet. During the rather atypical set filled with deep album cuts, Petty addressed the big story on Los Angeles airwaves last week: The sacking of his friend and the inspiration for "The Last DJ," Jim Ladd from Cumulus-owned KLOS.
