One of the trio of transparent disguises which the Feelies' Glenn Mercer and Bill Million used during the mid-'80s (along with the Trypes and Willies), Yung Wu only released one album, 1987's Shore Leave. A more rootsy affair than the duo's previous take on angular pop, Shore Leave featured a recent Feelies' recruit, drummer Dave Weckerman, as lead vocalist and songwriter, also adding keyboard player John Baumgartner and the Feelies' rhythm section, bassist Keith DeNunzio and drummer Vinny DeNunzio. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
