Coming out of Madison, WI, rapper Yung Prince was only 13 when he decided that music was his vocation. The enterprising young man began recording tracks that same year in his home studio. Three years later, in 2006, he was keeping the pace of one new song per day, saving the best ones for his mixtape X-UP Records Mixtape, Vol. 1, released independently in 2007. In 2009 the now 16-year-old rapper announced that work was underway on his debut album, tentatively titled Behind All the Smoke. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
