As the drummer for emo punk-pop band Coheed & Cambria, Joshua Eppard had longed for the opportunity to express himself lyrically, not through singing but rapping. Coheed's record label, Equal Vision, took a chance and offered him his own imprint to piece together the rap project that he had been concocting and fooling around with since his pre-teens, Weerd Science. With the help of producers Ill (Danny Illchuk) and Wavis (Dave Parker), he constantly worked on the material whenever he came back from touring with Coheed. Those sessions culminated in the quirky, nerd-avenging album Friends and Nervous Breakdowns, which was released in March 2005 on his own Super Rap Records. ~ Cyril Cordor, All Music Guide
