The California quartet Waiting 4 Wyatt started off as the brainchild of sisters Lucy Levinsohn (vocals) and Anya Boyer (keyboards/vocals). While searching for a bassist for their first band, Lily's Siren, the girls found a kindred spirit in Billy Berman (formally of Liquid Zu). Berman brought some songwriting muscle into the group, and soon the band was heading into new musical territory. The group changed its name to Waiting 4 Wyatt and spent much of 2003-2005 honing a new sound. Guitarist Brian Stewart joined in 2005 and Waiting 4 Wyatt entered L.A.'s Shut Up and Play studios to record their debut CD, What Are You Waiting 4? Favorable reviews and industry interest led to some advantageous song placements -- most notably "More Than Myself"'s featured airing on MTV's Meet the Barkers. ~ J.
