Biography

One of the Czech Republic's most beloved and popular musicians, Vladimír Misík began his career in the 1970s, beginning with his self-titled solo album in 1976. His band, Etc., with an ever rotating cast of characters, first formed in 1974 and has -- with Misik in the captain's chair -- released more than ten albums, including a handful of compilations. The 1980s weren't easy on Vladimír Misík & Etc., as a ban handed down from the powers that were severely limited output and performances. As of 2007, Misik and Etc. were still going strong, winning new converts and thrilling longstanding fans all over the Czech Republic. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
