The concept of a band's name including an e-mail address within it is a good one, but the Chicago metal band Vis@40 had no such intentions. The group's name is not an abbreviated cyber calling card but a tribute to a type of motor with powerful torque. Anyway, the members of the group didn't seem to like the name, changing to A.D.D., or Attention Deficit Disorder, in 2002 and adding a female vocalist. Cruelty 2 Humans was the sole release by the group under in its earlier identity, and despite trappings of an all-out metal assault, indicated in the artwork and song titles such as "Squirm," the band actually promoted the effort as kind of melodic form of the genre, even promising "hooks" of the sort disc jockeys like, and not the kind used in torture dungeons. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
