Specializing in duranguense music, Uranio are a regional Mexican band led by former Grupo Montéz de Durango vocalist José Manuel Ortega. Originally hailing from the Mexican state of Durango before migrating to the United States, Ortega founded Uranio in 2007. The band made its full-length album debut a year later with Dulce Veneno. Released by Universal Latino's Machete Music label, the album spawned the hit single "Dulce Veneno." ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
